Oi AdBikes take to the streets

08 October 2018

This month Team Oi launched a brand new way for advertisers to take their messages to the streets and engage with audiences in places other advertising can’t reach.

Introducing Oi AdBikes - electric-powered mountain bikes with advertising trailers that are ideal for low cost, hi-vis, outdoor advertising campaigns, guerilla marketing and a great opportunity to promote products and services on the move or parked-up at events, shows and public spaces.

Used extensively across Europe, Oi has secured exclusive rights for the AdBikes in the Channel Islands. They are DVS approved in both islands and have a range of 46 miles on a single charge.

Peter Grange, Oi Chief Executive, said limited choice for outdoor advertising, and the opportunity to embrace a cleaner and greener form of advertising, was the main reason Oi decided to launch these.

‘We came across these whilst researching for a pitch, instantly loved them, and felt they had great potential as an alternative advertising channel to be used alone, or as part of campaigns, in the Channel Islands. We have built up a database of people who will get paid to ride Oi AdBikes and already have lots of clients ready to use them. We’re looking forward to getting their messages here, there and everywhere and using this low cost, hi-vis, cleaner and greener advertising channel to its full potential. They’re going to be lots of fun.’

We were thrilled to support Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey last week taking to the streets of St. Helier on our Oi AdBike to promote The Oasis, their cancer support centre and all the wonderful work they do every day. We popped in to see sponsors C5 Alliance Group and others taking part in Jersey's Greatest Coffee Morning along the way!
