59% increase in Jersey winter visitors

On Wednesday this week the Jersey Evening Post reported impressive figures showing a surge in the number of winter visitors to the island since 2015.

The report detailed how the number of holiday visitors in the last three years [2015 to 2017] from January to March had increased by 59 per cent.

Keith Beecham, head of the tourism body, went on to say that “the latest figures showed Visit Jersey’s winter campaign had helped to boost tourist numbers during the quieter shoulder months”.

Oi have worked closely with the marketing team at Visit Jersey on their campaign activity for the past 3 years, running campaigns throughout the UK, France and Germany.

Most recently Oi’s How do you want to feel? and Love Winter campaigns showed impressive views and engagement on social media.

The recent campaign success and effectiveness was highlighted previously when Oi picked up the Best Brand Building Campaign award at the Chartered Institute of Marketing Excellence award for 2016 campaign activity.

With all of this bringing Visit Jersey closer to their target of attracting one million visitors to the island by 2030, Oi are proud to continue to contribute to the growing visitor economy year-on-year.
