Enabling a greener future
To help decarbonise Guernsey and inspire consumer behaviour change, Oi worked with Guernsey Electricity to create Electric Living: a new brand and online portal that provides islanders and installers with information about low carbon electric solutions.
Starting with the brand, we developed a modern logo and brand identity – “Powered by Guernsey Electricity” which also stands alone as a consumer brand.
As part of the project, we developed an intuitive CMS site that could be easily updated with information relating to products, FAQs and installer details. Our aim was to take the complexity out of switching to electric alternatives and outline environmental facts alongside more practical advice, to make the switch to electric as easy as possible.
To drive traffic to the site, Oi devised a multi-channel campaign with a digital-first focus, that not only explains why low carbon solutions are right for our island, but how consumers can make the switch to electric heating and electric vehicle options.
The TVC encourages islanders to ‘take a moment and breathe in’, to think about the beauty of their island, how their choices impact air quality. Initially airing on ITV main channel and ITV hub, the TVC has also been promoted on social media and YouTube.
Building on mass awareness, our digital campaign delves deeper into decision making as part of an educational approach, encouraging islanders to visit the portal for more information and to start their electric journey.
The campaign has also been supported through targeted local print.
