Honouring Mary Quant
Once again Oi has worked alongside Starhotels to bring an afternoon tea experience to life, celebrating the legendary British fashion designer Mary Quant in conjunction with the Victoria and Albert Museum’s exhibition.
The iconic style which brought miniskirts, hot pants, vibrant makeup and tights to the British highstreet inspired The Pelham, London’s Mary Quant Afternoon Tea, complete with marzipan flowers and dresses, coulis in a nail varnish bottle and an edible lipstick.
Oi’s brief was to create a print style which was notably the Mary Quant aesthetic without breaching any copyright compliance and incorporating The Pelham’s identity, to promote the afternoon tea and exhibition.
Joanne Holmes, Senior Designer in our Jersey office, created a stand-out ownable menu style which was rolled-out across various collateral including: an evite for press, printed tea menu, gatefold afternoon tea menu, outdoor menu and branded sticker. The brief really got our creative juices flowing with 60s inspired bold colours and flower icons paying homage to the London-based Mod and youth fashion movements.
The Franklin’s Mary Quant Afternoon Tea is available until February 2019, for bold design and print services to any spec contact our team.
